Deceased man located trapped under unoccupied, overturned pickup on Idaho roadway

AMMON, Idaho (KUTV) — An investigation was prompted after a group traveling on an Idaho roadway came across a man trapped under an unoccupied, overturned pickup truck.

Deputies of the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office said they were dispatched to an area of Bone Road - roughly 150 miles from Cache County, Utah - on reports of a man seen trapped underneath an overturned pickup truck just after 2 p.m. on Friday, May 31.

Idaho Falls Fire units responded to assist and were able to free the man who was dead at the scene.

Deputies said there were no other occupants or witnesses to the crash and that they are continuing to investigate.

The victim's identity had not been released as of Saturday morning pending notification of family.
