Undergraduate's that are interested in participating in Commencement must have applied to graduate through the Office of the Registrar by the February 15th deadline. All eligible graduates will be sent a registration form to their UC Merced email address after February 15th that is required to be submitted in order to be included in the Commencement ceremonies.
Those who Graduated during the Fall 2023 term and did not participate in the Fall Commencement ceremonies are eligible to participate in the Spring 2024 ceremonies. A registration form to opt in to participate in the Commencement ceremonies will be sent to your UC Merced email address.
All those who intend to graduate Summer 2024 who would like to participate in the Spring 2024 ceremonies must apply to graduate with the Office of the Registrar by Monday, March 18th. A registration form to opt in to participate in the Commencement ceremonies will be sent to your UC Merced email address. Summer graduates who apply to graduate after March 18th will be eligible to participate in the Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremonies.

Master's and doctoral degree candidates graduating as part of the Spring 2024 class are able to participate in the Graduate Division Commencement Ceremony. PhD candidates will be hooded by their faculty advisor as part of the Commencement ceremony. The office of Graduate Division will help coordinate with your faculty advisors as needed. In order to participate in the Spring 2024 ceremony, please ensure you have applied to graduate with the Office of the Registrar and registered to participate in Commencement with Graduate Division.
The Spring 2024 Grad Fair will take place on Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM at the Conference Center on campus.
Grad Fair is an opportunity for graduates to receive information on tickets, parking, take graduation photos to purchase, order regalia, class rings, flower leis and more. Please continue to check your UC Merced email addresses for additional updates and communications.
