How to Check Your Walmart Application

With more than 11,000 stores worldwide and 1.3 million associates in the United States, Walmart is the largest employer in the United States and one of the biggest retailers in the world. While Walmart does not currently have a system in place to allow you to check your job application online, you can still check your status quickly by calling the store and use the online process to ensure you will be matched up to specific jobs.

Call Store

If you applied to a particular store, use the "Store Locator" feature on the Walmart homepage to find the local contact information for your store. Call the store where you applied and ask to speak to the human resources manager or the general manager. Ask for an update on the status of your application. If you don't have Internet access, the store number appears at the top of each receipt or you can call your phone service's information to get the phone number of the store at which you applied.

Update Preferences

If you applied online and were hoping to be matched up to various openings, check your preferences. Update the store, location and schedule preferences so that you can be contacted when a match appears.
